General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Primolut-N is a progesterone group of hormone inbuilt in the contraceptive. The hormone has a side effect of irregular periods with scanty / profuse bleeding. Please don't worry. You will have a normal menstrual cycle with ovulation (which is essential for conception) after, to finish preconception course of the pills, advised by your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
