What Causes Delayed Periods Post Medical Abortion?

Hi I had medical abortion on 27th Feb I.e I blended on tht day till 4th March and had unprotected sex so taken levogestral tablet morning after pill,and again started spotting on 14th March till 17th March I have taken urine test on 27march it shows negative even 2april is negative. Wat should I do to get back my periods?

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I can appreciate your concern for the delayed period following medical abortion.
Levonorgestrol tablet contains high amount of the hormone progestin which is responsible for the hormonal imbalance causing the delayed menses.

When taken for first time or subsequently, it can cause a delayed periods for next two cycles. So don't worry about this stage.

If the menses do not occur even after two cycles, get the urine pregnancy test done and consult a gynecologist.
