What Causes Delayed Periods When Had Painful Swollen Lymph Node In Groin?
A painful, swollen lymph node appeared in my left groin area a few weeks ago, and disappeared after a few days later. However, I am now almost 2 weeks late on my period (my tubes are tied so it isn t pregnancy). Could this be something serious? I otherwise feel fine!
Sudden stress or infection causes delay in periods. Also, thyroid abnormality can lead to delay in periods. Start a course of antibiotics for lymph node, and do a thyroid profile test. Start medroxyprogesterone tablet if periods are delayed further.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
