What Causes Delayed Periods While On Hirsutism And Gynera?
Hello, I have been taking the pill gynera for 4 months now to cure my PCO and last month in order to address the hirsutism and male baldness I started taking Androcur. As per my doctor advice, I took Androcur for 10 days starting the from the last day of my period (meaning I started taking again the pills and androcur on the same day). Now, I stopped the pill last Saturday and I was supposed to have my period, but a week it s passed and I didn t get it. Tomorrow I am supposed to start the pill again together with the second cycle of Androcur and I don t know if I should or not. Could you please, advice if this can be an effect of the two pills combined and I can continue without problems or if I shall not take the pills tomorrow and what the problem could be? Thank you.
Hi I think you should wait before starting the pill. Periods may take 10 to 14 days to come after stopping the tablet. Do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done. Also gynera and androcur can be given as combined therapy in pco. So, you can continue taking these together. Hope it helps.
