Hi, I am currently on the pill (ovranette) I took my last pill on Tuesday and normally my period starts within 3 days. It still hasn t started and I am due to start retaking my pill on Wednesday. I have a 5 month old baby and have been on the pill for the last 3 months with no problems. I took a pregnancy test today but it was negative. Is there a chance I could still be pregnant?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns . Usually the periods start within 2-3 days of stopping the oral contraceptives, however sometimes it can get delayed upto 7-10 days. Chances of pregnancy when one is on oral contraceptives is 0.1% which is very low. Moreover, if the urine pregnancy test is negative, the chance of pregnancy is not there. I would suggest you to wait for one week, if the periods still don't come, then do consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
