What Causes Delayed Periods While On Birth Control?

Hi.. I was on my first month of my new birth control pills when my boyfriend came to visit me. He and I didn't have sex, but there was foreplay.. when my pill cycle ended and my 7 days of menstrual cycle started, I waited for my period to come, and it didn't,. I'm worried.. and I was wondering if it is okay that my period has not come.

Hi,
I have gone through your query and i can understand your anxiety.

Based on the hormonal combination in the pill, it can affect your menstrual cycle.

It might vary from lighter bleeding to even skipping periods entirely. Watch for your next cycle, if same problem persists, consult your doctor.

Hope i have answered your query. Let me know if i can assist your further. Take care.
