What Causes Delayed Periods While On Irregular Intake Of Birth Control Pills?

Ive been on and off of bc pills for about 3 months now, and me an my ex had Intercourse during my fertile window in September. Even tho i got my monthly in October and November, they were off. And im almist a week late this month. I read that 20%-25% of women bleed and have some cramps during the 1st trimester. Is there a chance im pregnant and dont know?

Hi,

Since you had your period in october and november, pregnancy may be less likely if you never had another sexual exposure after. However, irregular intake of birth control pills may lead to failure. Your delay may as well be due to the pills you are taking and may not pose any problem. I will however recommend you to take a pregnancy test for reassurance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
