What Causes Delayed Periods While On Slimming Tea?

Hi, please I m worried I always have irregular periods, my last period was on the 19dec,2016. I then had unprotected sex on the 26december and had protected sex on d 5th January, since then my period hasn t yet come, I took a home pregnancy test on the 13 January but it was negative, I have been taking brown slimming tea (containing senna seed, haw,lotus leaf). Please can I be pregnant or it s an effect of the tea or it s because of an irregular period. Thanks

Hello,

If your periods were December 19th and you had a pregnancy test January 13th it is normal that the test comes out negative as it generally comes out positive at least after 4 weeks from the last period.
I would recommend you to have a pregnancy test after January 20th and if this is negative you can have another one in 3-4 days from it.
If both tests come out negative then it is very likely your delay in periods is not related to pregnancy.
