What Causes Delayed Periods With Brown Vaginal Spotting?
I was giving amoxicillin for a tooth infection . I took the whole 7 day script along with my birth control . I was active without other protection and I started getting brown discharge with no smell a few days before I was expecting my period and i was suppose to start my cycle today but it s still just the brown spots .. Should I be worried ?
There are several reasons to get spotting before one has a period or around the time the period is supposed to start. This may happen because of stress, irregular sleep, hormone imbalances.
Also, many medication and antibiotics can cause changes in the cycle and increase bleeding. At times, the flora in the vagina may change which can cause increased bleeding, spotting, and changes in the cycle.
It would be best to wait and watch for the cycles to become regular. In case the cycles continue to remain irregular, getting a checkup with a Gynecologist may be a good idea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
