Hi,

Delayed period can occur due to hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiency, severe dieting or even stress. To rule out hormonal imbalance due to ovarian cysts or hypothyroidism, certain tests should be done.

Complete blood count, pelvic ultrasound and Thyroid function tests should be done. Breast examination and mammogram should be done to rule out any abnormalities. Any generalised itching or burning sensation could indicate diabetes and blood sugar level should be taken.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
