What Causes Delayed Periods With Spotting And Pain In Hip?

History: lupus, hypothyroidism According to an app, I was suppose to start my period a week ago 2/2/15 is note2 2/8/15 but instead ofa normal proud bleeding, I was spotting. Only saw blood when I wipee after urination. Two and half week ago my ovulation kit said i was ovulating and of course my husband and I had sex since we have been trying. I have been spotting every other day since the 2nd of Feb. The last time I had sex, last night, heavier bleeding happened but it resembles a very light period. Now I m having a lot of pain only on the right side pelvic/hip area. What could be the cause of all this. I have not taken a home pregnancy test because I m confuse to what the blood. Thanks!

HI,
I have read your query carefully & understand your concern.
* There are two possibilities in your case- one being pregnancy as you had tried in your most fertile period- you had a delayed period in form of spotting only-- which can be implantation bleeding . spotting indicates hormonal defeciency./ impending abortion.
* the other possibility is all the symptoms you have are due to hypothyroidism or PCOD. - Pain in hip joint is not likely to cause such symptoms.
** You need a gynecologist's consultation & investigations like USG pelvis & hormone estimations to pin point the diagnosis- to be followed by specific treatment.
