What Causes Delayed Periods?

Hi, I have undergone for abortion for first time and we did not plan for baby for 9 months and my husband was using condoms. Now we planned and met after 14th day of my period. I missed my periods for 10 days and pragnancy test result is negative. my periods wad regular when he use condoms and I am worried about this delay and will it because of the abortion first time ?? Am I fine??

Understand your concern
Abortion not affect the pregnancy /fertility as you did once only. Sometime pregnancy test give false negative result, do pregnancy test again after 2-3 days. Better to do blood hcg and ultrasonography to confirm the pregnancy.
Other cause of delayed period are excessive stress, change in life style and dietary habit, thyroid abnormality, hormonal imbalance, ovarian dysfunction/PCOS, high prolactin etc. If pregnancy is not there you should rule out above cause by consulting the gynecologist after following investigations: full hormone profile, ovarian follicle study,endometrial biopsy.
Meanwhile avoid stress, do exercise like stretching, yoga and relaxation exercise, take healthy diet, take fruits like papaya, orange and pine apple.
