Hi,I missed my periods by 6 days. I am 28 and married, but we did not want a baby. I haven t taken any test till now . Can you suggest some methods by which I can force start my period. We haven t had un protected sex I dun think i can get pregnant.Really confused

Therefore, you need to confirm the cause first by a pregnancy test/ultrasound and if the cause is not detected, see a gynecologist for a short course of hormonal pills for your period to occur.

Your problem is a common one in today s life and we frequently come across with women with history of one or more history of delayed periods and usually the causes are as follows: 1. polycystic ovarian disease 2. hormonal imbalance like hyperprolactinemia, thyroid/insulin disorders 3. genital tract or ovarian failure 4. malnutrition or anorexia nervosa 5. infections like tuberculosis 6. pregnancy 7. pill-effects Therefore, you need to confirm the cause first by a pregnancy test/ultrasound and if the cause is not detected, see a gynecologist for a short course of hormonal pills for your period to occur. regards,
