Hi, just wondering if this has happend before to someone or something similar. I didnt have my period last month in march. But I know I was ovulating. Didnt have sex either, but on 4/2 I did have sex and still no period. Even now still no period. What is wrong with me? My periods have always been irregular but thhe beginning of the year it has been fine till last month and this month.
Hello and thank you for the question! Unless you are trying for a baby, there are different reasons why your periods may be late.1.Stress.The hypothalamus( where a lot of the hormones for your period are regulate),is very affected by stress. So if you are very stressed because of something strong that has affected your life recently, this may be the cause of your delayed period.2.The Irregularity of thyroid, hypo or hyperthyroidism both cause delayed periods.3.Weight loss.4.PCOS(Polycystic Ovary Symptom),you have altered levels of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone and it can cause to not menstruate regularly.Anyway i would advice to consut a gynecologist,to have an abdominal echo and a blood examination! best regards!
