Hi,
I understand your concern.
Delayed periods ( secondary amenorrhea ) acn be due to various causes like- sever anemia, debilitating diseases, psychological shock, thyroid or ovarian problems, PCOD.
* If pregnancy is excluded, you can take a short course of hormonal pills ( Regestrone -1 pill twice a day for 5 days. Your period may start after finishing the course within 8 days.
After the periods, Tab Regestrone should be taken one pill ,once a day ( at fixed time) regularly for 20 days, again you will get bleeding within 8 days of stopping pill.... this way usually 3 courses are given over 3 cycles.
Most of the times regular menstruation resumes.
It is advisable to consult a gynecologist before the treatment, get examined & get prescription for suitable pills.
* In case thr problem recurs, Doctor will get investigated for finding other cause for the problem & advise specific treatment.
Thanks.
