What Causes Delayed Periods?

My wife used mtp pill in January after that her first period came on 30th of January..now 40 days has been passed and no sign of second menustral ...can you please explain this...is this normal one or we should go for another ultrasound..( previous ultrasound showed empty uterus )

Hi,

Yes, you should definitely recheck for pregnancy. So get done fresh ultrasound and urinary pregnancy test. If both these are negative for pregnancy then no need to worry.

Hormonal imbalance can also cause similar symptoms. So consult gynecologist and get done detailed hormone levels. She may need hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once her hormones are normalize, she will get regular periods.
