What Causes Delayed Periods?

My boyfriend and I had manual sex on 10-20-17 and 10-21-17. No penetration and only brief touching of the genitals. My last period was 10-10-17 to 10-15-17. I was expecting my period on 11-7-17 however, it’s late. I took a pregnancy test on 11-9-17 and it was negative. I am currently 5 almost 6 days late. I don’t have any pregnancy symptoms aside from tender breasts but that usually happens when I am PMS. What are my chances of pregnancy? And if I’m not pregnant why would my period be so late? I’m usually never this late.

I can understand your anxiety. Only symptoms cannot be considered as standard criteria for diagnosis of pregnancy because sometimes, PMS symptoms may mimic pregnancy symptoms. So it is always better to have a pregnancy test. But right time to have a pregnancy test is 1 week after missed period (when HCG levels are detectable). So better to repeat urine pregnancy test after 8th day of missed period.

If test is negative.. no need of worry

If positive.. then consult me
