What Causes Delayed Periods?

There is a delay in my periods of about 5-6 days.. I got my period on 16th of Feb and now I was expecting to have them around 20 or 21march as it usually happens with me that I gt my next period around the last date when I had my previous period and one more problem is that I had an sexual intercourse with my partner but not at that level.. he released semen out of his penis but it was all done as it is meant to be done like masturbation.. he didn t ejaculate semen into my vagina.. is it possible to get pregnant if his semens came in contact around my vagina unknowingly?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If he has not ejaculated into you and you both are sure about this then there is almost no chance of getting pregnant ,coming of semen in contact around the vagina produce very little if at all chance of pregnancy but only if we are really sure that there is no ejaculation inside, even partial so if you are sure about the above , then pregnancy is unlikely , there may be many causes of delaying including stress, diet , exercise etc, if still any doubt better get a test done for pregnancy.
