What Causes Delayed Periods?

hi i am 19 years old i have always had regular periods until this past month i am 2 weeks late 4 pregnancy tests said i was not pregnant and now i have began to bleed like if i was on my period but the bood seems to be stringy and jsut hangs? what can this be?
