What Causes Delayed Periods?

My periods delayed by 8 days. Had a scan on (June 2), no gestational sac. But, endometrium thickened. Had two HPT and both showed negative. Please help...

History: PCOS since puberty. Miscarried in two months and underwent a DNC (November 2010). Periods regular in 31 day cycle, ever since.
