What Causes Delayed Periods, cramps And Frequent Urination With Negative HPT?
DEAR Dr. Jain, I am a 31 yr old AA female with a regular 28 day cycle. I am 2 weeks late as of today. I have been experiencing bouts of nausea, intense cramping, frequent urination, exhausation and mood swings. i have taken 3 home pregnancy tests with negative results for each. What else could explain these symptoms?
Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion delayed period with all said symptoms gives a suspicion of pregnancy. But as the tests are negative the pregnancy is ruled out.Usually the pregnancy test gives accurate result after a week of missed period. So if there was pregnancy the test will be positive by now.Even the stress regarding the thought of pregnancy also makes one to feel the pregnancy symptoms and delayed period. So relax and wait for spontaneous onset of period for a week or 10 days.If still there is no onset of period then consult doctor for medicine for period. Best regards....Dr.Srilatha
