What Causes Delayed Pregnancy After Stopping Birth Control Pills?

hi i stopped the pill the last week in december and since i had a period on the 1st january i was due my period on the 28th jan but i stll havent had it is this because my cycle getting back to normal or could i be pregnant ,i have had unprotected sex and i have had a pregnancy test but it came back neg ?
