What Causes Delusions Upon Intake Of Rivastigmine And Valsartan?

My Mom is 87 years old and has mild to moderate dementia. She was fine except for her short term regular memory stuff. She got a UTI infection & started have delusions that her skin was turning black and gray & peeling off & burning & she had a rare disease and was going to die. The facility gave her antibiotics & it shows the UTI infection is gone but she is still have delusions that her skin in peeling off & she is picking at her face. She takes rivastigmine 1.5mg a day,, valsartan f/c 160mg, Levothyroxine 88mcg, vitamin D2, Cerovite sr tablet. I wondered if any of these medications could cause delusions? or it could be the progression of the dementia?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

None of these drugs are causing any delusions but her Alzheimer’s disease. You need to consult your treating neurologist for drug therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
