Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How are you I recently shattered my tib and fib have 40+ screws and rods holding it together I noticed tonight it appears I have a indent in my leg by my ankle that I have not noticed before and do not know if I should be worried it s kinda late where I am so I cannot call my doctor and I really do not want to go to the er please let me know if I should be concerned thanks
As there is history of tibia and fibulafracture with screw fixation, soft tissue injury must be predicted along with the same. Hence it is quite possible that dent area may be compressed during the injury with lower level of skin layer causing dent appearance. Your treating doc can guide you much more precisely in this matter as he or she must have evaluated you clinically at the first instance of therapy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
