What Causes Depression After Removal Of Tonsils And Adenoids In Children?

My 6 year old had her tonsils and adenoids removed exactly one week ago. After the surgery she acted a little funny, which i expected. Now, a week later, she still acts seriously depressed. She closes herself off, will not eat (even icecream), and just sleeps. She also seems to have caught an attitude that s out of the ordinary for her. Is this normal? I m really worried.
