What Causes Depression And Abdominal Cramps While On Premarin?

Hi Dr. Andrew, I was on premarin for about 9 years and went on the estrogen patch (estrodial) for 2 years. Having a hard time keeping the patch on went back to premarin 3 week ago and having emotional, crying, stomach craps, and very nervous. Not sure what to do at this point. Please help me, Angie

Hi,

Likely to be associated with mood alteration and neuronal amines disturbances giving agony of the symptoms. Needs dose adjustment of the premarin along with intake of anti-depressant and supportive medications.
