What Causes Depression And Aggressiveness Inspite Of Taking Welbutrin?
I take welbutrin xl 300mg day and I have been taking it for 3 months. I have had sucidial thoughts recently, but I know I would never attempt to commit suicide. But during my moment of panic I think about what if? What should I do? I have had no other problems just aggressiveness has increased but I am scared to stop taking it b/c I have improved a little.
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. Wellbutrin is Bupropion and the drug is commonly used as add on drug in depressive disorders. You have persistent depressive disorder and aggressiveness despite taking Bupropion. In such case I would advise you to consult your doctor to increase the dose of Bupropion if possible. This should improve your symptoms.
You also have suicidal thoughts and this shouldn't be ignored. Other antidepressants like SSRIs or SNRIs can help you to come out of depression. These drugs will help in controlling the panic symptoms also. For severe panic symptoms drugs like Benzodiazepines or Betablockers can be used. Please consult your psychiatrist for proper detailed treatment.
Hope this helps you. Thanks and Take care
