What Causes Depression?

Hi I've been really depressed lately or I think I have been depressed but I feel like I don't love anybody anymore like my family, friends, girlfriend. I'm wondering is this the cause of it or something else. I've been researching and I think I might be diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder and I'm not sure if the autumn season is causing this or something else I remember getting some what like this last year I'm not sure if I have SAD or I'm just extremely stressed out at college. I just want to know your thoughts on what you think is causing this and how I can get better so I can feel like I can love people again especially my girlfriend.

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

There are number of reasons of depression like stress, genetic reason, environment factors etc. In your case, if it is seasonal affective disorder, then that may be due to some serotonin imbalance due to seasonal variation. In that case, best treatment is antidepressant that would help to control the symptoms.

Thanks
