General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
She has heart failure with low ejection fraction with derranged kidney function.
Consult your treating doctor, she should not be on any drug which increases potassium levels like Ace inhibitors, ARB blockers, Aldosterone antagonist, digoxin.
you have not given history whether she is diabetic or not.
She should avoid the food which contain excess of potassium like juices, banana etc.
She can take cation exchange resin orally and nebulisation with levolin under guidance of her doctor.
Correction of severe metabolic acidosis with sodium bicarbonate if present.
Take care.
