Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had diarrhea for about a week now. It started when i ate something spicy. I have had the dish couple times and i just had some now. I went to the bathroom and i went and when i wiped there was bright red bloos on the tissue. I have been feeling an itchy sensation as well for a couple days. Can you help
You can have enterocolitis like the infective condition of intestine or colon. Diverticulitis also can be possible.
So you need to investigate further with stool routine micro examination to check if any organism or pus cells if present. Broad spectrum antibiotic also can be prescribed.
If no improvement then you need to consult a surgeon for proctoscopy examination to look for piles. I suggest you take rabeprazole like antacid as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
