What Causes Diarrhea After Taking Azithral Along Vizylac And Diclomol?
My daughter 20years old was suffering from throat infection for the last three days for which she is taking azithral 500 mg once a week along with vizylac and diclomol tab.today is the 3rd day she has taken the medicines now her throat is almost OK but she has loose motion from the morning .the first stool normally she has was normal but after 10am loose motion started is it due to azithral what medicine she will take now will she continue azithralfor three days more
Azithromycin can cause gastrointestinal disturbances and diarrhea is often seen. If the antibiotic can be changed, please opt for it if diarrhea does not subside by using simple measures like using probiotics, Loperamide etc.
If the diarrhea gets under control by using simple measures, the antibiotic may be continued for the remaining three days. Please take care to maintain proper hydration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam,
