What Causes Diarrhea After Using Eye Drops?

My eye doctor subscribed some eyedrops for me a little over a week ago. I used them for a week. Within a couple days I all of a sudden have diarrhea. It doesn t seem to be going away. I stopped the eyedrops 2 days ago and I m still not better. I don t feel sick, but it feels like my food is just going straight through me. I m eating like normal but I ve lost a couple pounds(I don t need to do that).

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I read your question. What seemed to me is that probably it's not the drops that causing your diarrhea. Eye drops can go to the blood from eyes but it's very unlikely here. This more looks like an Infectious diarrhea. So I would suggest you to talk to your doctor as this may need some antibiotics after evaluating .

Till that I would advise u take a lot of fluids and see your doctor .
