What Causes Diarrhea And Blood In Stool After Colon Cancer Surgery?

My husband had colon cancer surgery June 30th, they removed 1 1/2 ft of colon/intestines, laparoscopy.....recovering has gone well, finally having a BM 7 days after surgery...he s having some diahrea now with blood, everything else is good walking, eating well, off pain melds, doing a few things around the house....Concerned ,
