What Causes Diarrhea And Foul Smelling Mucous Discharge After Taking Cefdinir?

Hello,I took cedinifir antibiotic after my tonsils were enlarged. It warned for diahhrea on the bottle.. but it s been two weeks since I stopped taking them. I got diahhrea near the end of taking them. Currently I now have a smelly mucus discharge from my rectum. I m very concerned but plan to call my doctors office tomorrow. What could be happening?

Hello,

Cefdinir can cause diarrhea due to intestinal flora imbalance. It also can cause clostridium difficile infection so you should do a stool culture.Use probiotics such enterogerina or yovita to re-establish the intestinal flora.
