General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Cymbalta contains duloxetine that belongs to the group of medications known as serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor or SNRI is used in the treatment of depression, anxiety, peripheral neuropathy and many more. But like other medications this medication has some side effects of its own. It may cause diarrhea, anorexia or loss of appetite, signs of liver problems like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine etc, muscle weakness, tremor, allergic reactions and many more. Despite having side effects, it is not recommended to stop taking this medication without consulting your prescribing doctor. If this medication is suddenly stopped, then you may experience some unpleasant symptoms like dizziness, confusion, headache, feeling of sensation like electric shock, changes in sleep patterns, tiredness and many more. Your dose may require to be gradually reduced to subside any side effect.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
