Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my child is 1.5 years old. The complaints are loose motion at least 3-4 times per day, vomiting 1-2 times per day and also associated with fever. The child seems active and still can run and play. The stool examination shows a lot of cadida along with fat globules and motile bacilli were seen. We had already provided Cotrimoxazole syrup and metro syrup along with paracetamol. However the diarrhoea and vomiting was not relieved yet. How should I proceed further?
This could be viral diarrhoea and does not need any treatment this will come around without the medicine.
You have to just take care for hydration and fever for the fever you can give her "Acetaminophen syrup" keep giving drinking water, everything will be fine soon, take care of the kid and have a nice day.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
