What Causes Diarrhea, Chills And Numb Toes After Provera Usage?
Hi...I have a myriad of symptoms that have been going on for six weeks. They started with the absence of meant rations which is usually very regular for me. They were followed by what I thought we pregnancy symptoms (maybe just hormones) and my period was just shy of one month late. Pregnancy tests were negative. That was followed by my period which came on very heavy with a lot of bleeding and clotting, 3-7 pads/hour for 13 days at which pt I went to the doctor. The day before I went into the ER diarrhea started. In ER they looked at uterus and ovaries via ultrasound and decided that the uterine wall was too thigh and there was something small there but nothing scary. Said was likely menopause (I am 44). Prescribed provera. Started provera, bleeding stopped hours later, followed by severe bouts of diarrhea for three days now, chills, numb toes.?..
The occurrence of diarrhea is unrelated to Provera. Diarrhea must likely due to gastroenteritis, possibly viral. Please be advised to follow liquid and soft diet including Banana, apple sauce, rice for next few days until diarrhea subsides. Stay hydrated. If diarrhea does not start decreasing, follow up with the urgent care to rule out bacterial infection.
