What Causes Diarrhea Followed By Fever And Chills?
I have had what I thought was a stomach virus with diarrhea 3 times in the last 2 months. Last time was this past Sunday and Monday. Felt fine on Tuesday. Wednesday early morning 2:30 am I awoke with chills, took temp and had a 101 temp. Fever has been between 100.6 and 102 all day. Went to doctor. White blood cell count ok, flu test negative, urinalysis didn t show infection but wasn t quite normal. Have aches in my arms and hands, fever, chills, occasional nausea, having lots of bowel sounds. Is appendicitis a possibility?

no appendicitis is less likely a possibility here. in appendicitis u will have fever right lower iliac fossa pain and it will hurt on touching. u r having likely inflammatory diarrohea . there was no need to investigate this beacause result will be normal. take plenty of fluids and tab ciproxin 500mg twice a day for 5 day. ORS u can use instead of simple water. take tablet panadol for fever and tablet metocloperamide 10mg in case of vomiting
