Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Diarrhea, Itchiness In The Hand And Red Blotches On The Skin?
I had an episode of anaphylaxis , thought to be caused by a new medicine. Was taken off of it. Two months later had a similar episode but milder. Sudden diarrhea, faintness, itching of hands, body covered in red splotches, shaking. Normal, or slightly elevated B/P. Again last night, experienced same thing. Mostly passed in about an hour. No needed epipen, no breathing problems. Basic blood work is normal.
The symptoms seem to be related to a food allergy. I suggest doing the food allergy tet for more information.
Meanwhile, I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine daily. I also suggest using daily probiotics and Pedialyte solution. I recommend to drink liquids and eat a plain diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
