What Causes Diarrhea Post Umbilical Surgery?
I had umbilical surgery 6 weeks ago without mesh. 3 weeks ago I started to experience diarrhea. After a couple of days it became worse with stomach pain and nauseas. That last for four days and now 2 weeks later I still have diarrhea. This diarrhea comes on quick and is nearly all liquid. Could this be related to the surgery?

I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms of diarrhoea may not be due to history of surgery but this could be due to some intestinal infection actually such diarrhoea is self limiting and frequency of three to four stool in day is normal one but of course hydration is matter of concern, hope this information helps, take care.
