What Causes Diarrhea While On Althea Pills?

Hi, I am taking Althea pills. I started last month. This is my second month now. But this month, when I started taking it, I am having this diarrhea. Not severe diarrhea like every minute, but everyday my stool is loose like watery. I just wanted to ask if this can reduce the effective of Althea? Thanks.
