What Causes Diarrhea?

thank you, I would like to know where I can read online information on exactly how and what happens when diarrhea occurs, what makes this happen in the small intestine please. I recently had 6 days of ibs-d and am under a doctor s care but I would like to learn more on my own please.

Hello,

Diarrhea occurs when the secretion of water into the intestinal lumen exceeds absorption.

In your case, it can be related to irritable bowel syndrome.

I suggest using an anti diarrhoea option such as Imodium.

I also suggest using daily probiotics and drinking liquids.
