What Causes Diarrhoea Along With Bloating Of Abdomen?

My 5 year old autistic grandson was diagnosed by pediatrian with Viral infection 3 days ago, and having loose vowel movements for 3 days, he was given VSL#3, his stool is better now, but have so much pain on his bloated stomach, is this normal to have bloated stomach after having diarhea?

I really appreciate your concern, if this is viral infection of intestine then this is self limiting condition and may not need any specific treatment but here hydration is matter else this is nothing to worry, after passing stool some abdominal symptoms is just likely, hope this information helps, take care.
