I ve maintained by exercising regularly and eating better but I still have a pinch I feel in my heart can last all day, it had been uncomfortable lately, I made an appointment to see my doctor July 1st, I will be requesting a referral for a cardiologist. I m very good with stress management, and don t feel it s stress. I m not sure what I have. Please advise. Thank you in advance.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Diastolic hypertension occurs when the lower value of blood pressure is found to be 90 mmHg or more. There are several causes which can contribute to it and hence needs a proper evaluation. It is good that you are maintaing proper diet and exercise along with stress management, which is very much essential in the treatment of hypertension, along with medications. However, if the diastolic blood pressure is high due to hereditary factors, it needs a careful management. Kimdly consult Cardiologist for proper evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
