It feels like I have an air pocket in my lung on the right side of my chest. When I swallow air to try and release it I feel it there but it will not release. This has been happening for a few years now and it seems to be getting worse. What could this be?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. In my opinion you may have bulla or blebs in lung. They are air filled structures in lung parenchyma. So you should consult pulmonologist and get done 1. CT thorax 2. PFT (pulmonary function test) CT thorax will be needed to know whether bulla or bleb present or not. PFT will be needed to rule out bronchitis present or not due to bulla and blebs. So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these. If both are normal then no need to worry much. You may have anxiety only. So avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm.
