What Causes Difficulty In Bending And Lower Back Ache?

I am so stiff and sore, especially in the morning. I have difficulty bending, and actually am afraid of falling. I am only 55, and enjoy excellent health, up til recently. My lower back aches, not pain, but aches, with extremely tight quads. (Back of thigh) this extreme tightness lessens by about noon. But I am so stiff and sore all nite. This is not normal for me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be lower back strain ( lumbago). Warm compress on back, taking over the counter NSAIDs like ibuprofen ( motrin ) and applying gels containing NSAIDs like diclofenac ( Volini ) for local application will be helpful. Ibuprofen you can take 400 mg twice or thrice daily after food for 3 days. If there is no improvement after 3 days then better to consult an orthopedician to rule out problems related to spine or discs.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
