M I going the right way..Plz suggest. Should I consult a specialist..And what are the chances my husband catches infection from me ? Plz reply
Hello, Thanks for the query. If one has confirmed pulmonary tuberculosis, then treatment is usually with with four or five anti TB drugs given over a period of 5 to 6 months. Then the condition is most often cured. High ESR (83 mm) signifies that you have a chronic active disease (not any specific one). From the given information it is not clear whether you have taken full and proper treatment for curing TB. Taking Amoxy-Clav 625 mg (to be taken 3 times a day ) for 7 days is only for acute infection like acute tonsillitis, acute exacerbation of bronchitis or pneumonitis etc. Since the information on anti tubercular treatment is not clear, it is difficult give a specific opinion. Thanks.
