What Causes Difficulty In Breathing And Swallowing?

Hello, I frequently roll my neck/move it from side to side. Recently, I noticed it s been slightly harder to swallow/breathe, and when I tounch my neck I can move the bone there a little bit. I am just wondering what might be wrong and if it is serious and I need to follow up with a doctors visit.

Hi,

Which bone are you moving? Is it hyoid bone or cricoid cartilage. Difficulty in breathing or swallowing may be the problem in the trachea or external compression like Thyroid or thymoma or malignancy or diverticulum or acid reflux with erosion, etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet Pantaprazol before breakfast for one week.

Please get a local examination done with indirect laryngoscopy. Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
