What Causes Difficulty In Breathing Especially While Lying Down?
This morning I woke up and I felt like I couldn t not breathe. It feels as though there is a swollen flap in my throat that makes it hard to breathe especially when laying down. Like a really bad sore throat. But I can feel something swollen in my throat.

Needs to be checked. Any breathing problem has to be checked. Tonsillar inflammation, laryngeal problem, sleep apnoea, anxiety etc all can lead to breathing difficulties. From your description looks liken inflammatory issue of the throat. Get it checked and can be put on antibiotics, anti inflammatory
