What Causes Difficulty In Breathing When Diagnosed With Sinus Infection?

I have had sinus problems most my life but in the last couple years they just dont go away. I have had 3 surgeries to clean out pulips and open the nasial passage more but Im still constantly having a hard time breathing, runny nose, and allergy like symptoms. I have tried many allergy medicines, sudifed seams to work for several hours but once it weres off Im feeling like shit again. I have tried herbs, local honey, teas, sinus clensing techniques but nothing works for longer then a day but a surgery which lasts a few months then comes back. I have tried ventilating my house and keeping it very clean. I do have a dog though, could i be allergic to the dog? I never use to be. My sinus doctor says my sinus look like they are in great health and just issues me more pills including steroids which i dont like taking unless it is really bad and i cant breathe.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, the condition needs evaluation with an X-ray chest, pulmonary function test for the air passage details rather than fixing one self to only sinuses part.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
